Incorporates a melanin tint that improves the balance and equilibrium of many Epilepsy patients. Clinical studies demonstrate that the specific melanin color actually suppress the tremors that many Photosensitive Epilepsy patients suffer from.
* Improves balance of many photosensitive Epilepsy patients.
* Special melanin tint is designed to neurologically suppress the hand and foot tremors.
* Can be used indoors or outdoors.
* Reduces photosensitive Epilepsy dyskenetic head movement.
* Made from Ophthalmic Frames and CR-39 First Grade Optical lenses.
* Custom made and inspected by Board Certified US Opticians. Made in the USA.
Specialized melanin tint is designed to interrupt the false periphery signals that interfere with the patients informative central-vision signals.
Studies have shown that wearing this 2nd generation Blue Zee pigment reduces dyskinetic lateral head movement and torso twisting that is common in some forms of photosensitive Epilepsy.
May help patients with photosensitive epilepsy by suppressing the photo-paroxysmalresponses(PPR’s) elicited by 15-Hz flicker stimuli.
What makes them work for photosensitive Epilepsy?
Clinical research has been included demonstrating that particular shades of blue lenses have a beneficial effect on photosensitive Epilepsy patients. It is the current consensus that a disconnect between central vision and peripheral vision offers to the brain two competing sets of information that disrupts the Parkinson’s patient from processing visual data in a normal way. This leads to stumbling and spatial distance issues when reaching for a given object. It has been demonstrated that the blue pigment interrupts the peripheral vision sufficiently as to allow the patient to operate more normally without the disruptive and competing data being received to the brain. While not successful for every patient, the lenses have been found to help a majority of sufferers by a least a marginal amount.
