Golf Eyewear
Why Golf Glasses? Custom Golf Glasses put the bifocal at the top of the lens, not the bottom. This means when you look down to putt, there is no reading area in your way. The top bifocal allows you to check your phone and write down your score, all while keeping the bottom area of your Golf Glasses clear for putting and driving the ball.

Inverted Reading Area: Moving the reading area to the top makes putting and driving easier!

High Definition: Breakthrough “Corrected-Curve” lens technology makes you see better than ever!

Your Prescription: We use your eyewear Rx to make these glasses custom for you.

High Contrast Tinting: Available in Transitions(clear to dark) or High Contrast tinting that makes judging distances better!

It’s such a bummer to play golf with regular glasses or sunglasses because when you putt, the bifocal is in your way! Wouldn’t it be great to move the bifocal area to the top of the lens so it is out of the way of your putting game. Well, that’s exactly what we did! You still have the bifocal in the glasses, so you can record your score and see what time it is, but instead of being in the bottom of your lens, Golf Glasses tucks it neatly at the top of the lens. If you need to see up close, simply pull your glasses down some on your nose, then when you are done, push them back up, and presto, the bifocal all but disappears! This leaves the bottom area of your glasses clear so you can see the ball to putt! What a breakthrough!

Here at HDRX we use state of the art “computer-molding” techniques that are just a few years old. Most ophthalmic labs employ “surfacing” methods that are nearly 100 years old. While the old method produces adequate lenses, computer molding produces lens surfaces up to 500 times smoother than surfacing. Why does that matter? The smoother the lens, the easier light moves through the lens with less oblique reflections that lead to slightly blurred edges. What’s up with this “High Definition” option? Why is it better? An HD lens employ an aspheric front surface and an atoric back surface that corrects for visual aberrations that are caused by astigmatism, higher prescriptions, and lens materials that cause a general blurriness in the periphery. This blurriness has a name. It is caused specifically by marginal astigmatism and chromatic aberration. When you look at an object out the outside periphery of your lens, you experience some of this. HD lenses help correct these problems making the sweet spot of your Rx lenses bigger and better.

Here are your options the choose from

Lenses

High Definition Lenses: Better visual acuity than standard lenses using corrected-curve technology to make the lens more customized. The aspheric design diminishes marginal-astigmatism and chromatic aberration, which cause visual acuity loss, especially in the periphery of eyewear. Made from superior ophthalmic lens material and block UVA, UVB, and UVC ultra-violet radiation. Includes a superior scratch resistance to keep you seeing better, longer.
OR
Standard Lenses: Still a great lens! Even our standard lenses rival the best in the industry. Made from superior ophthalmic lens material and block UVA, UVB, and UVC ultra-violet radiation. Includes a superior scratch resistance to keep you seeing better, longer.

Transitions Lenses: (Recommended) In golf, depth-perception is paramount. The specific color of these Transitions Lenses is designed to be fantastic for judging depth against the backdrop of green grass. These lenses are clear at night and turn dark during the day. This is the preferred lens due to its automatic tint mechanism. These lenses are great even on a cloudy day due to their ability to lighten up slightly when there is less daylight. During the day, the lens is a medium gray, which allows for excellent color-perception.
OR
Gray Sun Lenses: Recommended for day use for the light sensitive golfer. This lens remains a pleasing dark gray all the time. This specific shade of gray is great for allowing you to still see all colors well.
OR
Brown Sun Lenses: Recommended for day use for the light sensitive golfer. This lens remains dark brown all the time and incorporates a high-color-contrast-sensitivity shading that makes objects more distinct. For example, a white golf ball is easier to spot against a grassy backdrop.
