What are Contractor glasses and why do I need them?
HDRx Contractor glasses are a hybrid lens that are designed for people who are constantly in positions where they have to be looking up one minute then down the next. Many of us have come up with some really ingenious ways to use the bifocal portion of our lens to see upwards. So we went old school with our contractor lens glasses. These type of glasses have been around since the 1950's and 60's, opticians regularly made glasses called the “Double Flat Top” they were custom made for guys that worked in industries that had them looking up and down throughout the day. This special lens gave them the ability to have their prescriptive lens right where they needed it to be instead of always craning their neck to see through the prescription bifocal.
